I love Paris in the fall!

Some pics from my recent Paris Jaunt!

First stop, lunch at Vivant...

Next stop our friend's place, the lovely Au Passage...

Some nice type...

We managed to get a tour around Idem Paris, what a truly magical place! There is something very special about this space, maybe its that Picasso and Matisse printed here in their day or that David Lynch made his very first Litho print here and fell head over heels in love with Idem, or perhaps its just the beautiful smell of the paints that makes it so nice. Anyhow we felt very privileged to be shown around by the lovely chap running it and were impressed that our hang overs had completely vanished on leaving...as if by magic.

I bought this plate...

For a friend of mine from the Rob Ryan shop a couple of weeks ago. "I made this plate because I have a big hole in my heart, I thought somehow it might help to fill it." Each one is hand printed and every colour is different. Gotta love Rob x

La Circulation

Taken from Le Livre Du Monde: Première Encyclopédie Pour Les Enfants, 1962.

Idem Paris

I'm hoping I will be able to bag a tour of this humongous 150 year old lithography print studio, Idem in Gay Paris this week. David Lynch does his printing here! It looks absolutely incredible!

Bottoms Up!

Hand printed A7 cards to be sent out with a neat little bottle of Sherry for Copita Tapas Bar, a delicious Soho establishment I did the branding for last year. Salud!

Cabin Fever

Great stress reliever courtesy of Cabin Porn. I think I'd spend much less time procrastinating on the internet if I lived in a cabin...

A-frame near Stykkishólmur, Iceland.
Piered cabin on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska.
Boathouse in Öland, Sweden.
Fire lookout in the Cascade Mountains of Washington state.
Hiker’s hut in Valais, Switzerland.
Cottage in Western Illinois on the banks of the Mississippi River.
Garden cottage in The Netherlands.
Cabin in a dwarf redwood grove, central coast of California.
A-frame in Tripple Falls, Oregon.
Ladder House near Dale, Norway.
Green-trimmed cottage in midcoast Maine. Saving the best for last!

Pablo

Picasso that is. @ The British Museum. Etchings made neoclassicism stylee (c.1930s) for the Vollard Suite, when he was shagging his muse and model Marie-Thérèse Walter. (I can see his willy).

“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” Pablo Picasso
